Primary Care  | Dr. Castro is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and he original passed his board in 1997 and completed his recertification in 2007. His medical license number is ME73728. The approach Dr. Castro takes to practicing medicine is a team approach between him and his patients. He knows the daily stresses of life can have a negative effect on ones health and with that in mind he fully understands his patient’s history while determining their present health so he can work with them to ensure they obtain their healthiest future possible. |
HIV/Aids Management
 | From 1981-1987 Dr Castro worked in an HIV research project in conjunction with the University of California at Berkley. This resulted in a publication of an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in 1987 about the incidence of HIV in the Dominican Republic. From 1994 to 1997 Dr Castro volunteered his services at the HIV unit at the Masonic Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. He managed patients dealing with the complications from HIV to full blown AIDS. At that time there where few effective drugs available for HIV as there is today. Combining the experience Dr Castro obtained while treating these patients and working with the introduction of new drugs each year since then, gives his patient’s confidence and peace of mind when working with Dr Castro as a team in managing their overall health. As an HIV/AIDS patient of Dr Castro you will be required to have blood work done every 3 months. |
Cosmetic Procedures  | Our primary focus is to work with our patients as a team at maintaining their optimal internal health. In addition to this we believe that feeling good on the inside should be reflected on the outside. This is why we offer and perform Botox and Dermal Fillers to our patients at our office. Dr Castro does not have to be your Primary Care Physician in order to receive Botox or Dermal Fillers, by him. |
